About
Chalet Shiga
Our family run hotel is located in Ichinose which is the geographic center of the Shiga Kogen ski area.
Our hotel is almost ski IN/OUT and with many chair lifts located next to our hotel, skiers and snowboarders have an easy access to all ski areas of Shiga Kogen.
Ichinose may not be a very old typical Japanese village, but rather a beautiful modern resort designed for you to enjoy skiing and snowboarding during your holiday.
Our hotel has been designed like a European style of mountain Chalet, with western/Japanese rooms which makes it very comfortable for guests.
On the ground floor, is located a “Japanese/Western Pub” (Teppa Room), creating a very relaxing après ski atmosphere where you will be served Japanese/Western dishes.
Night life in Ichinose is quiet and not as exciting, but there are a few places around where you can enjoy a drink or dinner! We have hosted many visitors from around the world and believe everyone will feel at home!
We may not be “fluent English speaking”, but we will always do our best to make your stay most enjoyable so you feel the real Japanese hospitability.
